Los
Gigantes is one of the most picturesque and exclusive resorts on the island and
is so popular that people return time after time.
It is situated on the west coast and takes its name from the sheer cliffs called
the ‘Acantillado de Los Gigantes', which rear up to a height of about 1650 feet,
then fall steeply down into the sea just to the north of the resort.
There's a variety of excellent restaurants, shops and bars (many with live cabaret
shows) clustered around the small harbour which is a starting point for dolphin
and whale-spotting boat trips.
There are many activities on offer in Los Gigantes such as - walking, tennis,
watersports, paragliding, bowls, sea fishing and three public swimming pools
all in the village as well as golf, horseriding, waterparks and zoos a short
distance away
